Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, pet safety knowledge, and the ability to empower teams in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability for days, nights, and weekends required.
