Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on in-store events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership to empower teams, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is essential.
