Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion superior service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using associate feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver exceptional in-store, phone, and online service; conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and prioritize safety via camera reviews.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial oversight. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and pet care passion. Experience with scheduling, compliance, and community engagement is essential.
