Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and achieving business goals in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and foster an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage customer interactions; lead events, compliance checks, and safety protocols including camera reviews and vet transports.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance; maintain inventory; communicate objectives to drive results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in sales driving, team motivation, and operational efficiency. Must thrive in fast-paced environments with flexible availability.
