Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive strategies for exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory, events, and compliance; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; communicate objectives; respond to business changes.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Skills in team building, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and data-driven decision-making are essential. Flexibility for varied schedules required.
