Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and associate engagement to build high-performing teams.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, events, and compliance with policies via monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize inventory, and cascade objectives to drive operational efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in team development and customer service, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
