Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions, events, and community partnerships.
- Operations & Finance: Maintain standards via monthly walks and camera reviews; manage inventory, communicate objectives, and prioritize safety/compliance.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, pet care knowledge, and adaptability. Passion for pets and ability to empower teams essential.
