Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient daily execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using associate feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service in-store, online, and via phone; conduct safety walks and maintain compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance metrics, execute corporate strategies for profitability, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, P&L accountability, and a genuine love for pets. Key skills include team motivation, conflict resolution, operational efficiency, and adaptability to flexible schedules.
