Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while achieving key results through exceptional service and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding customer service; conduct safety walks; manage inventory; review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoption initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial analysis, team motivation, and process improvement. Must thrive in dynamic settings with flexible availability.
