Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and all HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, and development; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage complaints, events, and compliance.
- Operations & Finance: Maintain inventory, conduct safety walks and camera reviews, communicate objectives, and drive results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong people leadership, and passion for pets. Key skills include team building, conflict resolution, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence. Experience with HR processes, safety protocols, and financial accountability is essential.
