Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; build open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; resolve concerns; conduct safety walks and inventory checks.
- Operations & Financials: Maintain standards, review cameras for compliance, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Must excel in delegation, financial oversight, HR administration, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
