Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion superior service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and fostering an open-door culture with associate feedback and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety, exceptional customer service, compliance with policies, inventory management, and safe environments through walks, camera reviews, and event partnerships.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, cascade objectives, and adapt to changing priorities for optimal outcomes.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in team building and development, customer-centric mindset, operational expertise, and passion for pets. Proficiency in financial oversight, conflict resolution, and process improvement is essential.
