Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial outcomes, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve results, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates; conduct reviews, foster engagement, handle grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety, deliver exceptional service, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, partner on events.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, decision-making skills, and passion for pets. Proficiency in team building, customer service, operations, and financial oversight required. Experience with adoption events and compliance a plus.
