Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using associate feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, and handle sick pet protocols.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize inventory, communicate objectives, and partner on events with local adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and passion for pet care. Flexible availability required.
