Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and foster an exceptional environment while ensuring compliance and pet welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and build engagement through recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Deliver outstanding pet parent service, maintain safety standards, manage inventory, and lead events with adoption partners.
- Business Management: Achieve profitability goals, analyze performance, execute strategies, and ensure operational efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer focus, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team motivation, financial acumen, process improvement, and adaptability to dynamic retail demands. Passion for pets and community involvement is a plus.
