Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and oversee inventory.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, communicate objectives, and lead events with community partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and process improvement. Proficiency in HR tasks, customer escalation handling, and data-driven decision-making is essential. Passion for pets and a flexible mindset for varied shifts are key.
