Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, champion superior service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle concerns, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, cascade objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in P&L management, team motivation, and process optimization. Flexibility for varied shifts and a passion for pets are essential.

- Manage inventory, scheduling, and compliance with company policies
- Conduct store walks, camera reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
