Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; oversee events and inventory compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; cascade objectives; partner with leadership for operational excellence.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and P&L management. Key skills include strategic delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and pet industry passion. Flexible scheduling required.
