Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build open-door culture and address grievances.
• Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service in-store, online, and by phone; lead events and community partnerships; maintain standards through monthly walks and camera reviews.
• Operations & Financials: Manage inventory for optimal stock levels; communicate objectives; prioritize safety; handle sick/injured pets with immediate vet transport if needed; oversee opening/closing procedures.

Experience & Skills

Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, pet care knowledge, and ability to drive sales. Must excel in customer service, conflict resolution, financial oversight, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
