Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and all HR functions. You'll drive company culture and strategies, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop, and manage associate performance; build open-door culture and respond to feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct safety walks, and manage inventory.
- Operations & Safety: Review cameras for risks, handle pet emergencies, collaborate on events, and communicate business objectives.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, pet industry knowledge, and expertise in HR, operations, and customer service. Must excel in delegation, problem-solving, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.

- Ensure compliance with policies, conduct safety walks, and manage inventory levels

- Monitor store cameras, address risks, and handle pet health emergencies
