Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering targeted results through exceptional service and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, foster open communication, and build engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage escalations, conduct compliance walks, and optimize inventory.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance, improve processes, and lead events with community partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, P&L accountability, and a pet-passionate mindset. Key skills include team motivation, customer obsession, operational efficiency, and adaptability to dynamic retail demands.
