Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy pets; deliver exceptional service; manage escalations; conduct monthly walks; review cameras for safety; maintain inventory and standards.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership to empower teams, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling.
