Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; oversee events and inventory.
- Business Management: Drive profitability, analyze performance, execute strategies, communicate objectives, and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership, customer focus, and operational savvy. Key skills include team building, financial acumen, problem-solving, and pet passion. Flexible scheduling is essential.
