Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, and development; build an open-door culture and boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety, deliver outstanding customer service, maintain standards, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for accountability.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in team building, financial oversight, and process improvement. Flexibility for days, nights, and weekends is essential.
