Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; build an open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning; recognize achievements and resolve grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate interactions; ensure pet safety and health; maintain compliance with policies; conduct monthly walks; monitor cameras; prioritize safety.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; manage inventory; communicate objectives; collaborate on events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets.
