Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
• Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and collaborate on events with adoption groups.
• Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, review security footage for coaching, and respond to operational needs like pet health emergencies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service and sales growth, proficiency in inventory and financial management, and a passion for pets.
