Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; manage inventory; analyze performance and communicate objectives.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume environments, and passion for pet care. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, customer focus, and data-driven decision-making. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
