Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial outcomes, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct Core and Services Walks, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize inventory, and lead events with community adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, financial oversight, and pet care knowledge. Must excel in delegation, problem-solving, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability required.
