Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving targeted outcomes in a dynamic retail environment focused on pets.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions, conduct Core/Services Walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for accountability.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events with adoption partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, delegation, and a passion for pets.
