Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage escalations; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; oversee events and inventory.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, and communicate objectives to drive results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in retail management, strong people leadership, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include team empowerment, customer focus, operational efficiency, compliance, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
