Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service, efficient execution, and targeted business results in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health, deliver outstanding pet parent service, conduct monthly Core and Services Walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, optimize processes, and partner on in-store events and community adoptions.
