Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, performance reviews, scheduling, training, and succession planning. Foster an open-door culture, address grievances, and celebrate team achievements.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers. Manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and oversee opening/closing procedures.
• Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize inventory, communicate objectives, and partner on in-store events and community adoptions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pet care. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and compliance with safety protocols. Flexibility for varied schedules is essential.
