Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Handle employment decisions including recruiting, hiring, coaching, and terminations. Build an open-door culture, create schedules, facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning. Delegate effectively, cascade information, and recognize associate achievements to boost engagement.
Overall Store Experience
Lead associate and pet parent interactions, ensuring pet safety and health. Respond to concerns, maintain store standards, conduct monthly walks, prioritize safety, manage inventory, and review cameras for coaching. Collaborate on events and take action on pet emergencies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, expertise in team leadership, customer service, and operations. Key skills include HR management, financial oversight, problem-solving, and pet care knowledge. Proficiency in inventory tools, compliance, and fostering a positive culture is essential. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong communication abilities.
