Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build engagement through open communication and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead customer service; conduct safety walks; manage inventory and compliance; partner on events and adoption initiatives.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; review cameras for safety and coaching.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer focus, financial acumen, and pet passion. Key skills include team building, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability required.
