Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and respond to feedback.
• Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; manage inventory and events.
• Operational Excellence: Drive financial outcomes; enforce policies; collaborate with leadership team; handle escalations, grievances, and pet health issues.

Experience & Skills

Seeking leaders with retail management experience, strong team-building skills, customer service passion, and pet care knowledge. Must excel in delegation, financial oversight, compliance, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
