Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR across the store. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop, and recognize associates; handle reviews, grievances, and succession planning.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy pets and exceptional service; manage escalations, events, compliance, inventory, and safety protocols including walks and camera reviews.
- Operations & Finance: Optimize processes, communicate objectives, and deliver financial results.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with retail management experience, strong people skills, customer focus, and operational savvy. Pet care passion is a plus. Must excel in delegation, feedback response, and creating engaging environments.
