Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive strategies for exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, review security footage, and prioritize safe environments.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies, analyze performance metrics, achieve profitability goals, and communicate objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, and a passion for pets. Flexible availability required.
