Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build an engaged team.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety and health, maintain store standards, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for accountability.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, partner on events, and cascade business objectives to the team.
