Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; foster open-door culture; deliver reviews and recognition; handle grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve escalations; lead events and community partnerships.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, conduct safety walks and camera reviews; communicate objectives; maintain policy compliance.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years retail management, strong team-building, customer service passion, operational expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Must excel in delegation, feedback response, and driving results in dynamic environments.
