Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, performance reviews, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture with recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety and health; conduct monthly walks, monitor compliance, and resolve concerns; partner on community events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze metrics and root causes; manage inventory; communicate objectives; oversee opening/closing procedures.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, proficiency in financial analysis and operations, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
