Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
• Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; monitor cameras for safety; manage inventory and events.
• Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; execute corporate strategies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service and operations, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced retail setting. Flexible availability is essential.
