Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and build an exceptional store environment while ensuring compliance and team empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, foster engagement, and handle grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent service, ensure pet safety, conduct audits, manage inventory, and oversee openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on community events.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team building, conflict resolution, operational efficiency, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
