Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and achieving key business targets in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage customer interactions, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, and maintain compliance with policies.
- Business Management: Drive profitability, analyze performance, optimize inventory, and execute corporate strategies for sales and operations.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, proficiency in financial oversight, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and fostering high engagement in fast-paced settings.
