Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient daily execution in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and partner on community events.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics, review cameras for compliance, and cascade objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service, financial acumen, and passion for pets.
