Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, training, and associate engagement to build high-performing teams.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance data, optimize processes, and collaborate on events like community adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team leadership, customer service, financial oversight, and pet retail knowledge. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and fostering an open-door culture.
