Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution to uphold our brand promise.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; manage inventory and compliance; partner on events.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; review cameras for safety and coaching.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, proficiency in financial oversight and operations, and a passion for pets.
