Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving results, exceptional service, and efficient daily execution in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, deliver reviews, and build an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health, deliver outstanding pet parent service, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on community events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and sales growth, pet care knowledge, and skills in operations, HR, and customer service. Flexibility for varied shifts and a passion for pets are essential.

- Collaborate on events, adoption partnerships, and continuous process improvements
- Handle pet health issues and maintain a safe store environment
