Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion outstanding service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
• Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
• Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume environments, passion for pets, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and customer-centric operations. Proficiency in inventory systems, conflict resolution, and adaptability to flexible schedules (days, nights, weekends) is essential.
