Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and all HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and foster open-door engagement using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, resolve concerns, conduct Core & Services Walks, and maintain compliance.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, review cameras for safety, communicate objectives, and partner on events/adoptions.
- Safety First: Prioritize safe environments, respond to pet health issues, and execute opening/closing procedures.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years retail management, proven team-building, customer service passion, financial savvy, and pet care knowledge. Excel in delegation, motivation, problem-solving, and adapting to dynamic retail environments. Flexible availability required.

- Drive store events, community partnerships, and adoption initiatives
- Monitor store cameras, address risks, and ensure pet health & welfare
