Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; oversee inventory and camera reviews.
• Business Management: Drive profitability, analyze performance, execute corporate strategies, and lead events with adoption groups.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is essential.
